1. Equitable Global Governance

Earth Council Triangle (ECT)

A Structure for Equitable Global Governance:

A triangle of Sovereignty Governance:

The most power structures use the upward-pointing pyramid (a symbol which is universally accepted as representing the masculine principle), with one person or group at the top and the rest of the people are relegated to lower and lower tiers. However, this framework uses the downward-pointing triangle (a symbol which is universally accepted as representing the feminine principle).

Instead of having one person, or group at the top, everyone is Sovereign. Power is kept decentralized allowing different groups of Sovereigns to live under their own laws. Therefore, most power is kept within communities themselves and adheres to the Universal Law; live and let live.

Ofcourse business/corporations will still use the upward-pointing pyramid. For example, when cooking there needs to be one chef so the seasoning of meals is balanced, or when making a film one director is needed so there is continuity of vision.

Earth Council Triangle (ECT)

At the top is the individual or Sovereign Being (you are one)

1. Every human being is Sovereign

There are three main freedoms associated with Sovereignty; access to land, water and seed. There is one obligation; none harm to the earth or other beings.

Via Direct Democracy (refer Direct Democracy section) people create the agenda and vote laws in or out on a Local Level (Local Government). Council members are delegated to administer (en action) the will of the people, as reflected in the voting results. Therefore, the people themselves are the policy makers, not a select few.

Please refer Sovereignty Consciousness.

Community Council (CC)

Local Government

Ecologically sustainable societies are steady-state, zero growth economies using renewable energy, practising recycling, and with a high degree of local self-sufficiency.

Permaculture (sustainable abundance) is an important feature of intelligent community. It may be defined as the characteristic of a society that satisfies its needs without diminishing the prospects of future generations, while simultaneously providing freedom of choice and creativity to all.

Via Direct Democracy (refer Direct Democracy section) people create the agenda and vote laws in or out on a Local Level (Local Government). Council members are delegated to administer (en action) the will of the people, as reflected in the voting results. Humanity is mature enough to stop handing its power away to a select few. Therefore, the people themselves are the policy makers.

Bioregional Council (BC)

State Government

Via Direct Democracy the people of a Bioregion will create the agenda and vote laws in or out. Council Members will not represent the people but be delagated to administer the peoples will as reflected in the voting results. Therefore, the people themselves are the policy makers, not a select few.

Please refer Direct Democracy section.

National Council (NC)

National Government

Via Direct Democracy the people of a Nation will create the agenda and vote laws in or out. Council Members will not represent the people but be delegated to administer the peoples will as reflected in the voting results. Therefore, the people themselves are the policy makers, not a select few.

Please refer to Direct Democracy Section.

Regional Council (RC)

Nations of a Geo-physical Region

Each country of a region sends at least one male and one female to the Regional Council in their area. At this council delegates are to mediate/negotiate issues related to their region. Where these Nations cannot resolve their differences, mediation and negotiation will occur at Earth Council (EC).

Via Direct Democracy the people of a Region will create the agenda and vote laws in or out. Council Members will not represent the people but be delegated to administer the peoples will as reflected in the voting results. Therefore, the people themselves are the policy makers, not a select few.

Please refer to Direct Democracy Section.

Earth Council (EC)

An evolution of the UN

In the United Nations the USA, China, Russia, France and the UK have veto power and consequently the rest of the world is dis-empowered. The UN is systematically inequitable and undemocratic. In the Earth Council Triangle (ECT), all countries/regions get equalised seats in the Earth Council. Each Regional Council is responsible for sending one woman and one man to the EC, a 24 seat council.

We need a fair and empowered forum so we can build trust between ourselves (humanity) and negotiate peace between people and between people and the earth. We are all dependent upon a healthy earth for our survival and prosperity.

Via Direct Democracy the people of the Earth will create the agenda and vote laws in or out. Council Members will not represent the people but be delegated to administer the peoples will as reflected in the voting results. Therefore, the people themselves are the policy makers, not a select few.

Please refer Direct Democracy Section.

Direct Democracy voting system could be established at a fraction of 1% of the current military budget of the USA. We already have the technology (the Internet), and with two independent and international IT teams monitoring, we could make the system transparent and incorruptible. Negotiating real peace is the best form of defence.
